Pricing Options

Newspaper and Online:

The rate to place a death notice in the newspaper on our home delivery days, Sunday, Thursday or Friday, is $12.00 per line.

The rate for a death notice on days we sell the newspaper at retail outlets and in news boxes, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Saturday, is $8.00 per line.

This includes Michigan's most trusted resource for online death notices at michigan.com/deathnotices, a service of the Detroit Free Press and The Detroit News.

Upon receipt of your request, a representative will contact you within 30 minutes to confirm the notice and review billing information.

Please Note: Notice must be submitted by the following times to appear on the requested day:

• Monday: 3:15 pm Sunday
• Tuesday-Friday: 5:30 pm previous day
• Saturday: 3:30 pm Friday
• Sunday: 3:15 pm Saturday

• For photos submit by:
• Monday: 2:30 pm Sunday
• Tuesday-Friday: 5:30 pm previous day
• Saturday: 3:30 Friday
• Sunday: 2:30 Saturday
