DeLAMIELLEURE RONALD ALBERT retired attorney, died September 23, 2013 at the age of 77, in his home in Canton, Michigan following a long illness. Ron was born on the East side of Detroit where his athletic skills as a baseball player led to several college scholarship offers. He decided to pursue his academic and artistic interests at Notre Dame College where he graduated in 1959 as a talented artist with honors in Fine Arts. His initial career as a high school art teacher was further enriched with a Master's Degree in Education from Wayne State University. Later, Ron's passion for higher education led to an achievement of Juris Doctorate from the Detroit College of Law. Ron used his law degree to enjoy a long career as an attorney in Michigan for more than 40 years. Ron was dearly loved and will be remembered for his positive attitude, a sense of humor, and a high degree of duty and loyalty to family. He had the unique gift of seeing the good in others and never speaking negatively about anyone. His faith as a devout practicing Catholic was evident throughout his life in how he treated others. Ron was preceded in death by his parents Marie and Albert Delamielleure. Surviving family members are his loving wife, Sandra (Colby), his children, Chris (Megan) of Corning, N.Y., and Nicole of Beverly Hills, MI., one grandchild, Beatrix also of Corning, N.Y., his only sibling, Richard of Ann Arbor, MI., and his step children Fred, Donna and Garry. According to his wishes, Ron's body was donated to the Anatomical Donations Program at the University of Michigan Medical School for research and medical education. Friends and family are invited to a Memorial service to celebrate Ron's life on Saturday, October 19th, 10:00 am at St. John Neumann Church, 44800 Warren Rd., Canton, MI 48187.
