Conover, Jr. of Highland Park N.J. and moved to Michigan in 1948. They were instrumental in developing educational services in public schools for special education during the 1950's. Throughout her life Marjorie made many friends through her active participation in voluntary organizations in Plymouth, Farmington and Fenton: the Methodist Church, the AAUW, Entre Nous, Plymouth Symphony, book clubs and others. She also enjoyed participating actively in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Polka music has always been the center of Joe's family and he enjoyed the reunions and gatherings of his family at which time all the musical members of the family provided the music they all love. Joe became a member of the Polka Hall of Fame in 1988. Joe retired from the Personnel Department of Fisher Body in 1977 after 42 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II for three and a half years in the European Theatre. Joseph is survived by children Joseph A. (Kyle) Eckert, James (Sherrie) Eckert; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by wife Mary; daughter Joanne and two sisters. WILSON DOLORES C. of Apopka, FL passed away on December 8, 2011 after a courageous 4 month battle with cancer. Born in Providence, R.I. on February 3, 1934 Dolores was an active youth. During her high school years she was an active member of many clubs and organizations and was elected by her peers as Rhode Island Governor for a Day. She continued her education at Bryant College (RI) where she received her BS. Married in 1957 to Alan Wilson, Dolores relocated to Detroit, MI where she taught in the Detroit Public School system for 31 years finishing her career as Assistant Principal at Pulaski Middle School. During this period, she earned her MA in Education from Oakland University (MI). Dolores was an active member of Plymouth United Church of Christ before she retired in 1991 and moved with her husband to Apopka, FL. As a member of Errol Estate C.C. she loved to play golf, gin, and participate in crafts. She was also a member of the choir at Rolling Hills Community Church, Zellwood, FL. Dolores is survived by Alan, two sons, Alan Jr. (Leesha) of Florissant,MO and Mark (Sandra) of West Bloomfield,MI and one daughter, Debra of Atlanta,GA, four grandchildren, two sisters, and one brother. A memorial service will be held at Plymouth United Church of Christ, 600 E. Warren, Detroit, MI 48201 on Saturday, January 21 at 2:00 PM.
