FOSTER ROBERT "BOB" J. age 94, a resident of Bloomfield Hills for almost 50 years, died January 19, 2013 at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital in Pontiac. He was born October 29, 1918 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Franklin and Marjorie Foster. Mr. Foster was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran who served in the South Pacific. He was the founder of Foster Machinery Sales in Madison Heights, Michigan. Mr. Foster was a Board Member for the Christian Businessman Association, Board of Regents with Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, Board Member with Detroit Bible College and Board Member of Camp Michawana in Hastings, Michigan. He was a Financier of the Camp Michawana Chapel. He was a major donor to the Salvation Army, where an arts building is being erected at Echo Park. They are currently building a new surgical wing in Honduras at Hospital Bautista. This hospital which services the poor for $1.00- $2.00 day, also received the gift of a chapel and a previously constructed surgical wing. 18 teams of surgeons are expected in 2013. He's financed all of his children and grand children's education through college, as well as provided 32 college scholarships to Detroit Bible College and William Tyndale College. He also sponsored 32 Korean orphans to adulthood. He is survived by his wife Mary Elizabeth "Betty", whom he married on March 16, 1941, his children, Cynthia Lynne (Gary) Simpson, Craig (Beth Ann) Foster, Julie Grace Foster, his foster son Dr. Doo Yung (Eun Yung) Kwun, 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He is predeceased by his daughter Cheryl Lee Bullard. The visitation will be Tuesday 57 p.m. in the St. Andrew's room at the Kirk in the Hills Presbyterian Church, 1340 W. FULLER ARNOLD RAY "ARNIE", age 76, of West Bloomfield Twp., passed away on Friday, January 18, 2013, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on August 23, 1936 in Huntington, West Virginia. After graduating from Huntington High he joined The United States Air Force, served on active duty for 12 years, and continued in the USAF Reserves for an additional 8 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant. Following his years of service, Arnie worked at a paper mill in Wisconsin and became Union President. After retiring from the paper mill, he worked in the jewelry business until 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Geneva and Raymond Fuller. He was the younger brother of Dorothy ( Jim) Martin. Arnie had two daughters from a previous marriage, Sandie and Carole Fuller. Arnie is survived by his beloved wife of twenty-six years, Ruthie Fuller. In addition to his wife, he leaves children Allan, Denise, Brian (Barbara), and Dawn Light; grandchildren Katie and Jessie Merrill, Rachel, Sarah, Jordan, Hannah, Naomi, Simone, and Jake Light; great-granddaughter Abby Habeck. He will also be missed by many loving family members, friends, and his two special cats, Farabee and Roxy. Arnie's warmth, sensitivity, and his kind-hearted nature endeared him to all. Charitable donations may be sent to food banks and animal shelters. A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 27, 12:00 pm, at the Fuller residence, 5838 Shillingham Dr., West Bloomfield, MI 48322.
