He served as Livingston County Circuit Court Judge and District Court Judge from 1968 until 1986. HRAMIEC IRIS Age 84. March 4, 2012. Mrs. Hramiec was very proud of her Italian heritage. She was born in Detroit to immigrant parents, Quirico and Valeria Ziraldo on May 10, 1927. Her parents, born in Friuli, Italy, were founding members of the Venetian Club. Mrs. Hramiec received her bachelor's degree at the University of Detroit and masters at Wayne State University. She taught in both public and parochial schools, completing her career as principal at Our Lady of LaSalette in Berkley. She married her devoted husband, Edward Joseph, in June 1950. In 1955, they moved to Royal Oak and raised their seven children. After their children were independent, the couple enjoyed traveling covering forty-nine states and southern Canada. Through the years, Mrs. Hramiec assisted in the Shrine Scout program, volunteered at Detroit Children's Hospital and Hospice of Southeastern Michigan. She also served as Eucharistic Minister, visitor of the homebound in her parish, National Shrine of the Little Flower. She will be remembered as one who loved tenderly all whose lives she touched. Mrs. Hramiec's husband, Edward, preceded her in death on December 16, 2002. Her family survivors are children Joel, Valerie (David) Meyers, Dr. John, Rosanne (Larry) Ramey, Mary Bewley, James, and Patrice (Ray) Gage, and 19 grandchildren. A sister, Anita Sabbadini and brother, Louis (Rosemary) Ziraldo also survive. Funeral visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. on Wednesday with a 7 p.m. scripture service at the Wm. Oatley Brian Charles 61, of Ann Arbor, fought a long, courageous battle with lymphoma during which he never lost his optimism, sense of humor and his smile. Brian retired in 2011 from the Internal Revenue Service after 37 years. Brian's favorite pastimes included watching his children compete in sports and listening to music. A loving and dedicated father, Brian is survived by three children: Thomas Oatley of Milwaukee, WI; Allison Oatley of New York, NY; and Scott Oatley of Ann Arbor, MI. His son, Daniel, died of SIDS in 1990 at age three months. WOHNUS BUHL HELEN LOUISE of Brighton, MI formerly of Ann Arbor, MI, passed away Sunday, March 4 after a brief illness with her loving family at her side. She was 81. Helen was born on April 25, 1930 in Detroit, MI. She was the daughter of Carl F. and Louise C. (Horning) Buhl. On February 8, 1964 she married Rolf K. Wohnus; they just celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary. Besides her husband Rolf she is survived by her daughter Christine of Brighton, MI; one brother Robert C. Buhl (Jane) of Grosse Pointe Park, MI. Helen graduated from Denby High School in 1948; she attended Wayne State University majoring in business. She started her working career at Bower Roller Bearing the company was renamed Federal Mogul. In May of 1977, she and Rolf started their own business Roto Industries, Inc. and have been successful in it for 34 years. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 11:00am at Nie Family Funeral Home-Liberty Road Chapel, 3767 W. Liberty Rd., Ann Arbor, MI 48103.
