On November 9, 2010 he married Suzanne. His hobbies included travel, cars, hunting, fishing, and football. She is survived by her five children, Linda Wilcox, Dolores Schafer, Bernice Stone, John Barkholz and Thomas (Karen) Barkholz. Virginia was an Eastern Star, an American Red Cross Volunteer, and was involved with home nursing and civil defense. Virginia ran for school board and city council. She only had an 8th grade education but went back to school and received her diploma in 1992. She retired from Asher School at the age of 80. Virginia was loved and will be greatly missed. Dorothy grew up in Detroit and graduated from Redford High School where she was a champion swimmer. She was one of the most pure of heart and caring individuals you could be blessed to know and she will be dearly missed. MOTZKUS ARLINE ESTHER (NEE ABEND) Age 89 passed away February 10, 2013 after a long illness at the Saline Evangelical Home (Saline, Michigan). Born in Redford Township, MI to Herman and Teresa Abend, she was one of four children: Arnold Abend, Charlotte Clave precedes her in death and is survived by her youngest sister, Kathleen Simpson. Arline graduated from Redford High School and resided in Michigan most of her life where she worked as a dental assistant for many years as well as volunteering in several hospitals. She was an award winning artist in Ikebana (Japanese flower arranging). Arline joins her beloved husband, Howard Leo Motzkus who passed away April 5, 2011 and a beloved daughter, Lynnann Motzkus who died in infancy. She is survived by her two daughters: Judithann (Motzkus Pittenger) Meyer and Marsha Lynn Motzkus; three grandchildren: Aleksandar Motzkus Meyer and his wife, Mindi , Meghan Abend-Powers Ross and her husband, Adam; and Evelin Carolina Meyer; her sister, Kathleen Simpson and her husband, Richard; her sister-in-law, Margaret Moll and her husband, James along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
