SINELLI JOSEPHINE age 96 of Redford, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, April 16 at the home her nieces and nephews created for her. Daughter of Delfina and Luigi, sister to Carolyn and Jack, Virginia and Frank, Andrew and Jean; beloved aunt, great-aunt and great-great-aunt to too many to count, but she somehow always had more room for pictures on her end table. Jo was an executive secretary at Chrysler for 50 years, at a time when shoes were not designed to be comfortable. She was a special friend to small children and dogs, even the nasty yippy ones that no one else liked. Jo was the consummate hostess, her home the center of decades of family celebrations and her basement an excellent place to play office. Though if you ignored her "here's your hat, what's your hurry?" you might get reminded that you had to go home so she could go to bed. Anyone touched by "Aunt Dodo" was inspired by her kindness, generosity, and patience. Jo is preceded in death by her parents, companion August Davio, her niece Delfina, her sisters and brother, Carolyn, Virginia, and Andrew who will be saving her the seat nearest the kitchen. Visitation Friday 3-8 p.m. with evening Scripture Service at Charles Step Funeral Home, 18425 Beech Daly Rd (between 6 and 7 Mile). In state Saturday 10:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of Loretto Church, 25700 6 Mile (corner of Beech Daly and 6 Mile). Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Contributions to St. Patrick's Senior Center in Detroit. Condolences to CharlesStepFuneralHome.com.
