BLATY VIRGINIA IRENE "GINNY" passed away peacefully at home on July 14, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Edward Blaty for 63 years until his passing in March of 2012. In addition to her husband and parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her in laws, Mary and Charles Blaty, niece Dana Marra, nephew Anthony Ajlouny, sister-in-law Jeanette Seaback and brothers-in-law Donald Blaty, Monroe Seaback and K. Anthony Ajlouny. Virginia was born in Ontario, Canada on March 18, 1926 to Ernest G. and Ann Marie Crick. She was raised in Detroit and attended St. Agnes School. On June 26, 1948 she married Edward and proudly and selflessly supported him through law school and a successful career at Lawyer's Title Insurance Corporation while raising their four children. Over the years Ed and Ginny were blessed with many dear friends. Above all she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She created and leaves behind many treasured memories. She was an especially proud "Granny" to her five grandsons who she loved so very much. She will be forever missed and always in our hearts. A niece Ashley Edgar and her mother Sue Edgar, his aunt Sylvia and the late Daniel Wisner, the Edgar's of Sandy, Oregon. Stephen was born August 10, 1956 in Detroit. He was a loving husband, a nurturing uncle, a doting great uncle, a sweet son and more than a brother a friend. He passed away suddenly at his cottage in Caseville, MI. Stephen was a gifted musician, a senior sales executive extraordinaire, a man that could do anything in the world from renovating a home to closing the deal, to making beautiful music. He had the soul of an artist in every sense of the word. He loved to cook (just ask his family and friends about candy bacon). An explorer at heart, Stephen was an avid boater, cruising the Great Lakes for over 15 years until he replaced boating with the perfect beach in Caseville and trips to New York and Cabo San Lucas. Stephen saw the potential in everyone and everything. The number of lives he touched and coached is too great to count. He was loved and cherished by many wonderful friends that were drawn to his vision, creativity and strength. OTTO LAWRENCE JOSEPH "LARRY" 85, of Ann Arbor, went home to the Lord on July 15, 2012. He was born in Milwaukee in 1927, and earned a B.S. in Engineering in 1950 from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn. He retired as a Commander in 1971, having served as Executive Officer of the USCG Cutter Mackinaw. He was Mayor of Cheboygan from 1972 to 1974.
