ADAMS EUDENE PEARCE Passed away on July 2, 2012 in her 98th years. She was a much beloved mother, step-mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and great-aunt. She was born in Mitchell, Ontario, Canada, on October 12, 1914 to Claudia Lederman Pearce and Arnold Burton Pearce (deceased). She was predeceased by her sister Juanita Culliton Gregory, her husband Vernon Coffman Adams, her son Allan Arnold Adams, and step-son David Adams. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Lee Adams; her daughter-in-law Marjorie Adams (Allan); Allan and Marjorie's daughters, Barbara Kasen (Jon) and Brenda Amling (Richard); and their children Ethan and Erika (Barbara) and Emma (Brenda). She is also survived by her step-son Richard Douglas Adams and his wife Barbara and their children Lynn, Laurie, Julie, and Douglas Jr. and their families. She is also survived by her niece Gayle Culliton Kumpf and her children Laurie and Kristen and their families; and by her nephew Scott Gregoy and his wife Paula, and their children Patrick and Katherine. Other family members also survive. She trained as an RN at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario and did further training at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, eventually working as an obstetrical nursing supervisor. She married in 1939, and she and her husband came to settle in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI. She worked with her husband assisting in his responsibilities as a Divisional Supervisor for the Scott and Fetzer Company and periodically continued work as an RN. She had a love of hockey, with season tickets to the Red Wings following them every season. She also loved to bowl and was a member of more than one winning team with many 200 games to her name. She was an active member of the Grosse Pointe Woods Presbyterian Church and its women's groups. In addition, she was an avid reader, card player, and symphony and theater goer. She loved to travel and did so widely throughout the world. From childhood, she also loved spending time at various family cottages and homes in Grand Bend, Ontario and around. Eudene was a woman ahead of her time- a model professional, curious about the world and interested in culture and politics. She was willing to express her convictions and was a "sensible" woman as well as a generous and concerned matriarch who, as she said, "Had a long and good life". Funeral services were held Friday, July 6 at Gendernalik Funeral Home, New Baltimore.

ANDERSON MARY E. 94, of Monroe, formerly of Ferndale and South Lyon Michigan died July 6, 2012. She was the beloved mother of Andrew (Harriet), John (Susan), Gregory (Barbara), Robert (Kerry), Dr. Mark (Cheryl), James (Nancy), Paul (Sharon), Sr. Agnes, IHM, Mary Jo (Jack) Soyak, Marj Anderson, Ruth Ann (Bob) Cornwell, Geralyn (Ralph) Saxton and Carole (Glen) Caddy and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was born April 12, 1918 to Frederick and Minnie (Bailey) Misegades and was married to the late Andrew H. Anderson. Former member of St. Joseph Church, South Lyon and St. James Church, Ferndale.
