LENGOWICZ EDWARD "EDDIE", JR., 78, son of Edward and Magdalen Lengowicz, of Detroit, Michigan died peacefully September 26th in Ashburn, Virginia. Eddie graduated in 1953 from Nativity of our Lord High School in Detroit. After graduation he worked at Buhl & Sons Wholesale Hardware until 1956 when he joined the Army. After the Army, he worked for S. Strock & Company in Chelsea, MA. He retired at the age of 46. In 1981 Ed and wife Jean moved to Homosassa Springs, FL. During his retirement, Ed was an avid golfer, bowler and softball player. Eddie is survived by his wife Jean Lengowicz, sister Barbara Stanton (Flushing, MI), cousin Carol Bednarkiewicz (Lake, MI). He was preceded in death by daughter Lori Lengowicz. He is also survived by daughters, Joanne Roehling, Ashburn, VA, Linda Salmeri, East Bridgewater, MA, and Lisa Lengowicz, Raleigh, NC. Ed was blessed with six grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, great niece and great nephew. The family will hold a small memorial service in October. Mr. Vollbach was a graduate of St. Rose High School and Henry Ford Community College. He served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from Chrysler as a tool maker. Mr. Vollbach was generous and gave to a number of local and national charities. He enjoyed woodworking and the library.
