MACKIEWICZ JOYCE Age 85, of Warren, Michigan, died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on October 14, 2012. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 4, 1927, the daughter of David and Dorothy (nee Shirley) Brundle. She was preceded in death by her brother, David. She married Chester Peter Mackiewicz on August 9, 1947. They divorced following 27 years of marriage and he preceded her in death. Joyce is survived by four daughters: Stefanie Wagner (husband Dennis), Susan Ambrozy (husband George Jr.), Jennifer Mackiewicz (husband Steve Blamires) and Nancy Mackiewicz (husband Roger Kennedy) and five grandchildren: Dennis, Jeffrey and David Wagner, and Lee Ambrozy (husband FU Dong) and George Ambrozy III. MONRO JAMES EARL, age 66 of Gaylord died Monday, October 15, 2012 at his home. James was married for 45 treasured years to Mary Shannon (Hannula). He was a great father to his children Corey James and Sara Jane (Michael) Nadlicki. He was known as a "prankster" to his brother John (Diana) and "Grumpa" to his three grand-dogs. He was also a special uncle to several nieces and nephews. James was a longtime resident of Gaylord. He was an active member of the Elks Lodge and Eagles Club and a member of JBEW Local 17. He retired from the City of Detroit Public Lighting Dept. and became an avid golfer, cyclist and collector of rare and unique things. NAPIER PAUL JONATHAN Age 56 of Ann Arbor, was taken by cancer October 14, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Edward A. and Marcyanne Napier. Born August 19, 1956 in Pittsburgh, PA., he is survived by his sisters Beverly (Richard Fabian), Joan (Fred Schneider) and brother Gregory (Susan). In addition to his many dear friends, he leaves behind a loving cadre of nieces and nephews; Jonathan Napier (Elise), Katherine Napier, Vanessa Fabian, Emily Schneider, Nicole Fabian, Nicholas Schneider and his grand niece Sophia Napier. Paul was a 1974 graduate of Pioneer HS. Never married, but much loved, he lived life to the edge and was the original Cycle Performance "fast and furious." For more than 30 years, he owned and operated Napier Restoration of Ann Arbor. He was a tireless and consummate craftsman best known for his work rebuilding and restoring classic automobiles and antique pipe organs, including that of Hill Auditorium.
