Mr. Buscher had been a devoted member of St. Philip Catholic Church in Franklin since 1982. He served his country in the Pacific theatre during World War II as a member of the U.S. Army. During his 40+ year professional career in the automotive industry, he rose from humble beginnings to positions of extensive management responsibility, including a leadership role in the launch of Nissan's successful manufacturing plant in Smyrna, TN. Harry was a loving husband and father, and a wonderful role model, but for all his strength of character, he was equally cherished for his ready smile, his easy-going enthusiasm and a well-developed sweet tooth. Dr. Anthony Shipley, retired United Methodist Minister and founder of Chandler Park Academy. Together they have one daughter Cornelia (Shipley) Bearyman.
