BERRY JACK LLOYD 76, died suddenly on October 30, 2012, surrounded by his family. He was born in Detroit on February 16, 1936, to the late Harry M. and Adeline Berry. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jeanette M. Berry; his children, Jack A. DESHA JEROME P. Formally from Sterling Hgts, MI age 79, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2012 at The Villages Medical Center, Lady Lakes, FL after fighting a long battle with multiple illnesses. Preceded in death by his wife, Lillian. Jerry is survived by his children, Gail (Alan) Jenkins, Paul (Pam) DeSha, Michael DeSha, Lynn (Jim) Colosimo, and Daniel (Caliese) DeSha; his nine grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, Dana, Adam, Haley, Dominic, Rocco, Mario and Julia and two great-grandchildren, Grace and Jackson. He also leaves behind his dear companion and friend, Pauline Gregory. Jerry grew up in Detroit, Michigan, the only child of Morgan and Elsie (Dzieszko) DeSha. He was employed at General Motors for 40 years and retired in June 1995. He and Lillian moved to Florida in 1996 and lived in the Lady Lakes area. Jerome served with distinction as a United States Marine in the Korean War conflict, where he earned several medals, including the Bronze Star. The loyalty and patriotism he displayed in the Marines never left him, as friends and family will attest. KING FATHER JOHN R., M.M. of St. Clair Shores, Michigan, died at Maryknoll Society's St. Teresa's Residence, Ossining, New York, on October 25. He was 86 years old and a Maryknoll priest for 59 years. He served in the U.S. Development Department and in mission in Guatemala and El Salvador, including as assistant pastor and pastor of parishes in both Latin American countries. He served as a chaplain aboard cruise ships and developed a passion for photography, embracing a new mission to reflect the world's beauty through photographs. He was born October 30, 1925 in St. Clair Shores, attending St. Gertrude Grammar School and High School. He held a bachelor's degree in philosophy from Maryknoll Seminary.
