BURMANN PENELOPE ELAINE Age 66, of East China Twp., died November 18, 2012. She was born June 2, 1946 in Detroit to the late Herbert and Rachel Cagle. On April 25, 1970 Penelope Cagle married Charles Burmann in Shelby Twp. She received her bachelor's degree from Oakland University in 1971 and later received her master's and specialist degrees from Wayne State University. Penelope's entire teaching career, in the East China School District, began in 1971 until her retirement in February 2010. She taught at the Marine City High School where she also was the cheerleading coach for 32 years. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church, St. Clair. She is survived by her husband of 42 years of Charles Burmann, sons; Matthew (Michelle) Burmann and Nathaniel (Melissa) Burmann, grandchildren; Hannah, Aiden and Samantha, brother; Terrence (Cathy) Cagle and mother-in-law; Leona Burmann. Pre-deceased by a son Jamie Burmann in 1978 and father-in-law; Edward Burmann in 1996. CARMODY TIMOTHY DENNIS Age 61, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012 in Saint Augustine, Florida after a couragious battle with Leukemia. Born in Detroit, Michigan on March 16, 1951, he was the second oldest of James and Bernice Carmody. He attended Denby High School in Detroit before moving with his family to Harbor Beach, graduating from Harbor Beach High School in 1970. He has been a resident of Florida for the past 22 years. Tim was an avid fisherman and loved living on the coast. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Bernice, and granddaughter Amber. He is survived by his children Colleen M. Krause (Dale) of Michigan and Timothy J. Carmody (Katie) of Florida, five grandchildren, Steven Krause, Harrison Krause, Lydia Krause, Evan Carmody, and Delaney Carmody. Tim is also survived by eight brothers and two sisters, James, Dennis, Maureen, Patrick, Michael, Joseph, Martin, Thomas, Daniel, and Pauline. Cremation has taken place in St. Augustine, Florida and his ashes sent to Harbor Beach, MI. On Saturday, November 24th at 10 a.m visitation is scheduled at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church in Harbor Beach, Michigan, followed by an 11 a.m. Funeral Mass. PORTUESI GIUSEPPE (1927 - 2012) He lived a long and fulfilling life, working hard every day of his life to support his family after coming to America from Sicily.
