CRENSHAW HOWARD H. Family and friends are mourning the loss of Howard Crenshaw, 85, formerly of Berkley, who lost his long battle with cancer on Friday, December 14. Howard is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jeanne (Forgue); four sons, Marshall (Ione Pyden), Mitchell (Amy Karanfilian), Robert (Tammy Park), and John (Camille Salvatto). He also leaves five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Howard was born in Flint, Michigan. He graduated from Bendle High School and immediately enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Following his discharge he attended junior college in St. Pettersburg, Florida, graduating from Michigan State University in 1953. Howard began his career with the State Tax Commission, then served as the first Equalization Director for Jackson County. He then worked as City Assessor for Huntington Woods, and later for the City of Berkley as Assessor, City Clerk and City Manager. He began work as Business Administrator of the Department of Laboratory Medicine at Sinai Hospital of Detroit in 1969, and remained at Sinai until his retirement in September, 1990. Howard and Jeanne moved to Michaywé, a golfing community south of Gaylord, in 1992, where he remained until his death. Howard was very active in the Golf Association, serving in many different areas, including Association President. Howard continued to be active until this September, when the cancer became too disabling to continue. A memorial celebration of his life will be held at the Michaywé Club House, 1535 Opal Lake Road, Gaylord, MI 49735, on Sunday, January 6, 2013, at 3 p.m. Memorial contributions in his honor may be sent to Hospice of Little Traverse Bay, Otsego Memorial Hospital, or the Salvation Army.

KREILACH ROSE MARIE (NEE KURISH) December 22, 2012. Age 90. Rose came into this world on November 29, 1922 on her family's farm in Caro, MI where she grew up. She truly was the beautiful farmer's daughter with her light brown hair, blue eyes and a smile for everyone. When she married, she relocated to Oakland County and then to Macomb County. Anyone that met Rose during her lifetime instantly liked her; she had a kind and gentle spirit and was a loving mother to Sherry Flor (Ron) and Ann Lang (John), who now survive her along with two granddaughters, several great-grandchildren, and two great-great- grandchildren. Rose was predeceased by two sisters, two brothers, and her loving husband Henry (2002), who adored her. MOLL LESTER WILLIAM died December 20, 2012 at St. John Hospital in Detroit. Born on October 21, 1928, the son of Josephine Hamlin Moll and The Honorable Lester Stock Moll, Mr. Moll was a life-time resident of Grosse Pointe. A graduate of the University of Michigan and an Army Veteran, he had a distinguished career in the life insurance industry for over 55 years, earning recognition and honors for his many achievements. DERDERIAN ROBERT NISHAN Passed on December 13, 2012 in The Villages, FL. He was born on August 30th, 1922 to Hagop S. and Siran Derderian in Harpoot, Armenia. Along with his parents and Aunt, they took a boat from Armenia to Montreal Canada and settled in Elk Lake Canada in 1924. In 1929 the family moved to Detroit. He was a Boy Scout and he graduated from Cooley High School. He started at the University of Detroit but his studies were interrupted when he got drafted into the Army to serve in WWII. He served in the Philippines and went to Officer Training School coming out as a 2nd Lieutenant. Upon returning home from the war, he finished his degree at University of Detroit and began working as an accountant for Finney & Son. He earned his CPA and in 1953 started Derderian & Company with his father. He was later called back as a reservist and served in the Korean War. In 1950 he married Leda Usluk and they had three children. In 1960 they moved to Birmingham, Michigan where he continued to grow his accounting firm and expanded it to Derderian, Kann, Seyferth & Salucci, PA in 1972. He was a true business man and had several other successful ventures through the years in the trucking business, oil business, and construction business. He lost his beloved wife Leda in 1984 and in 1986 married Virginia Post Martin. For many years they were snowbirds, living in Michigan in the summer spending time golfing at Pine Lake Country Club and wintering in Key Largo Florida at Ocean Reef Club. In 2006 they moved to The Villages in Florida permanently. Survivors include his wife Virginia Derderian, his three beloved children: Tom, Robert (Sharon) and Wendy (Allen) Stam; two grandchildren Allison and Brian; sister Mary D. Nahigian; and many nieces & nephews. A memorial service will be held in Michigan at a later date.
