ANDERSON CHARLES HOYT Age 94, of Bloomfield Twp. passed away on April 30, 2012. He was born the son of a farmer on March 1, 1918 in Ephraim, Utah. Hoyt got his undergraduate degree from Snow College in Ephraim and a PhD from Harvard University in 1951. He was an executive in labor relations at Ford Motor Company for 29 years. Hoyt was married to Ruth Spencer Anderson for 68 years before she predeceased him on September 3rd 2006. He is survived by his children Spencer (Anne), Richard (Rachel), and Theron (Kendra). Hoyt was predeceased by his daughter Carol Lynn Eaton and son Charles Gary Anderson. He has nine grandchildren and great-grandchild. Services were private. CADDY DONALD "LEROY" 84, returned to God April 19th in Brighton, MI. A longtime resident of Royal Oak, LeRoy is survived by his wife, Patricia Heenan; son, David (Judy); and grandsons Dylan and Jonathon. Born on 8-26-1927 in Ferndale, MI, Mr. Caddy was a proud graduate of Henry Ford Trade School in 1945 and studied music at Fort Wayne Bible College and San Jose State College, and was a member of the famed King's Men Quartet. While making a career with Allegheny Steel, he had a gift for music and was a soloist, voice teacher and music director for six congregations in four states over a fifty year career. LeRoy is now reunited with his wife Ruth and children Diana, Don, Denise, and Dawn. Parkinsons disease weakened his body but never his spirit, as LeRoy taught his fellow residents at Ashley Court to sing the "Cheer Up" song shortly before his passing. LeRoy Caddy continued to be who he was to the last: a gentleman, teacher and cheerful spirit; giving all his talents to the glory of God. A memorial service will be held at Covenant Baptist Church on Maple Rd., just west of Orchard Lake Rd. in West Bloomfield at 1 p.m. on May 20, 2012. Czernaikowski Joseph "Joe" C. 67, of Coldwater, passed away May 3, 2012 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born March 30, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan to Joseph C. and Floryanna (Kielbase) Czerniakowski. He married Marie on July 7, 1974. She survives. Joe was Parts Manager for various GM Dealerships, retiring after 40 years. He was quite a talker and story teller who loved collecting miniature liquor bottles and gardening. He was a true Detroit sports fan, but mostly an Avid Detroit Tigers fan. His wife Marie is the volunteer coordinator for the Branch Area Food Pantry and he was a great supporter of her efforts. Joe is survived by his wife, Marie; daughter, Angie (Todd Wastell) Bramlett; sons, Joseph Czerniakowski, Martin (Cindy) Betley, Jeff Czerniakowski; daughter, Danette Lentz; son, Ernest Abercrombie; daughter, Jenny (Brian) Phillips; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Gazdik Charles "Chuck" 79, died at his home in Shelby Twp., Wednesday, May 2, 2012, of heart failure. He is survived by his faithful and loving wife of 45 years, Opal, and his daughter Tanya (Jim) Irwin. Visitation will be Monday, May 7 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Lee-Ellena Funeral Home, 46530 Romeo Plank Road, Macomb Twp., followed by a 6 p.m. funeral and 7 p.m. dinner. Burial will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan. Chuck was a Korean War veteran. He was a proud Uaw member and worked at Chrysler, Burroughs and Ford before spending the last 30 years of his career as a journeyman painter at General Motors. He was a longtime member of Holy Ghost (Russian) Orthodox Church, Sterling Heights and Holy Trinity (Russian) Orthodox Church, Detroit. Chuck loved to grow vegetables and take care of his yard. He had a mischievous sense of humor, hanging a plastic apple from the red maple tree in his front yard. He was an avid history and geography buff and loved to study maps of his family's homeland in Russia. He will be missed.
