FRANKLIN SARAH CAMILLA Age 91, died December 25, 2010 after a brief illness. In 1940 she moved from Lanett Alabama to Detroit, Michigan where she was united in marriage to Willie Franklin. He preceded her in death after 28 years of marriage. She became a member of Greater New Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in 1943. She was a devoted member of usher board #2 for over 50 years. Anyone who knew Ms. Franklin knew she was a family driven person, who would constantly impart to her family "we are going to be a loving family." Michael married Alice Stowe on August 2, 1944 in Toledo, OH, who preceded him in death in April 2009. He served in the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1946 and then founded the Federal Broach and Machine Company in Detroit in 1952. He moved the company to Farwell in 1972 and a third location in Harrison in 1980. After retiring in 1984, he developed Isabella Village on Broadway in Mt. Pleasant. Michael was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant. Michael is survived by his children, Diana (Stephen) Lambert of Lake, MI, William (Eleanor) Martin of Mt. Pleasant, and Robert (Susan) Martin of Mt. Pleasant; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Melvin Hopaluk of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
