Mildred later married Freeman W. Brown (deceased 2007). GAYDOS THERESA (KOLONAY) Age 82, passed away February 1, 2012. She was born in Hastings, PA growing up in a family with her 11 brothers and sisters. She felt incredibly proud and blessed to be a part of such a special family. She married John Gaydos in 1951 and moved to Michigan in 1953, where she put her heart and soul into raising a family of her own. Her family grew to include daughter Margi Kleinsorge and son-in-law James, daughter Beverly Winkes and son-in-law Thomas, and daughter Joanne Marchena and son-in-law Patrick. Theresa was grandma to Jessica (Kleinsorge) Blocker and husband Jonathan, Emily Kleinsorge, Jennifer Winkes, and Sophie Marchena, and she was great-grandma to Jackson Blocker. Preceded in death by her husband of 56 years John Gaydos, parents John and Elizabeth (Sipos) Kolonay, sister Margaret (Kolonay) Chervenak, brothers James and John Kolonay and great-grandson Ryan Blocker. Theresa had many interests and talents including baking, gardening, sewing, and crocheting. Everything she created was created with love... a bouquet of flowers from her garden, a handmade blanket, fresh baked cookies... she generously shared her creations with family and friends. Theresa was genuinely interested in other people and enjoyed listening to what they had to say. She always found the good in each person she met, and took the time to share a smile and a kind word. Theresa had a strong faith in God and carried that faith with her throughout her life. Her generous heart and spirit have always been an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. Robertson Bruce Michael, a life long resident of Royal Oak passed away January 21, 2012 at the age of 67 at his home in Barton Towers. He was the third of six children born to Elizabeth and Gordon Robertson. Survivors include his sister Judith (William) Henderson of Montana, his brothers Gordon of Shelby Twp, John (Michele) of Sterling Hts., Patrick (Dawn) of Brighton, and Christopher (Patricia) of Royal Oak. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass to celebrate his life will take place in June.

TOMS FREDERICK ALBERT Age 87 (1924-2012), of Panama City, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2012 at a local nursing home. Frederick, a 35 year resident of Panama City, served in the United States Air Force during World War II as a fighter pilot. He was also a retired Captain with the Detroit Fire Department, with 30 years of service. His hobbies included gardening and growing fruit trees. Frederick was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Frederick is preceded in death by his wife Gertrude E. May Toms; his daughter, Diane Elko; and a granddaughter, Melanie Erickson. He is survived by his six children; Sandra Erickson (Chuck) of Lake Jackson, Texas, Carol Luelleman (Tom) of Michigan, Frederick M. Toms (Jean), Timothy Toms (Jean) and Sharon Trawick (Cameron) of Panama City, and Brian Toms (April) of Atlanta, Georgia; 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Kent Forest Lawn Chapel, with the Reverend Virgil Tillman officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, with US Air Force honors. Asked to serve as pallbearers are his children. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Panama City Fire Department and the Detroit Fire Department, past and present. The family will receive friends Monday, February 6, 2012, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
