JACKSON NORMAN B. February 12, 2012 from complications associated with pneumonia. He was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth M. "Betty" for 56 years. Dear father of Norman B. Jr. "Brad" (Tricia), Gary S., Donald E. (Debi) and Thomas F. (Bette). Loving grandfather of Timothy, Elyse, Matthew, Brittany, Nicholas, Lukas, Brooke, Dylan, Michelle and great grandson, Seeley. Norm was born in Highland Park, Michigan on August 23, 1922. He attended Cooley High School where he played football and became a star running back. Norm joined the Naval Air Corp and attended Iowa Pre-flight where he played football and earned the distinction of Regimental Commander. He went on to do his flight training in Pensacola, Florida, where he earned his wings and was commissioned on August 1, 1944. He served with distinction in the Pacific flying PB4Y2's from the island of Tinian. Norm returned stateside after the war and started his career with Pitney Bowes, then to Frigidaire and then on to Kelly Services where he spent 33 years and retired as a Senior Vice President. Norm was a devoted family man. His happiest moments were spent with his family, whether skiing at The Otsego Club, family vacations in Florida or competitive golf matches at Birmingham Country Club where he was a life member.
