AMOROSO MARY C. November 26, 1918 - March 25, 2011. Mary Concetta Giampino Amoroso, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, died on Friday, March 25, 2011, after 92 wonderful years with us. Preceded in passing by her dear husband, Frank Paul Amoroso, awaiting her since 1972, brothers Russell and Vincent, her sisters Antoinette, Angie and Jenny whom she considered her little angel who died at age 2 of diphtheria, and survived by children, Joy Meininger and husband Milt, Frank and wife Char, Lenny and wife Ruth, Paul and wife Kathy, grandchildren, Steven and wife Laura, Thomas, Frank and wife Jan, Billy and fiancée Rosie, and friends and relatives. Mary's parents Leo and Evangela (Naso) immigrated from Trapani, Sicily in 1912, and settled in Detroit, Michigan where Mary was born. She also lived in Grosse Pointe Park, Sterling Heights, Macomb Twp, and finally in Clinton Twp. Mary was the third child born to her family of two brothers and three sisters. Mary had a great sense of humor, enjoyed life, helping others, cooking, sewing, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. Mary will be greatly missed but never forgotten. ANTHONY DONALD C. Age 77, of Fenton, died Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at his residence. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, with Pastor James Mascow officiating. Mr. Anthony was born October 22, 1933 in Dearborn, the son of Charles and Mabel (Gossett) Anthony. He married Marilyn Gildersleeve November 15, 1952 and she preceded him in death, he married Beverly J. Kay February 29, 1996. He retired in 1994 from Ford Motor Company as a toolmaker after 43 years of service. Mr. Anthony was a member of the U.A.W. Local 36. Surviving are: wife, Beverly J. Kay; three children, Stephen Anthony of South Lyon, Paula and husband John Herbert of Grand Blanc and Carrie and husband Curtis Kaye of Fraser; eight grandchildren and three great-grand-children; two step-daughters, Judy Hrlic of Lyon Township and Nancy and husband Pete Behrend of Holly; four step-grand-children; three brothers, Phillip and wife Rose Anthony of Florida, Melvin Anthony of Arizona and Mickey and wife Joyce Anthony of Georgia; many nieces and nephews. All the children around her house knew her as the "candy lady" because she gave out two pieces of candy each day for over 20 years. She loved to work in her garden.
