BONADEO EUGENE "GENE" MASSIMO 91, passed away peacefully October 14, 2012. Born September 16, 1921 in Detroit to the late Dominic and Faustina Bonadeo of Vigaponzo, Italy. He served in the U.S. Army Combat Engineers Battalion during WWII. He was a graduate of Lawrence Institute of Technology and was a certified Professional Civil Engineer. Gene enjoyed a 32 year career as Head Engineer for the City of Detroit Water Board, retiring in 1979. He also served as past president of the Piemontese Italian Club in Northville, MI. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 58 years, Josephine Mary Picelli. Left to honor Gene are his brother, Henry (Vivian); his sons, Patrick and Jon (Suze); and daughter, Teresa Charnell (Ray) and grandson, Spencer Bonadeo.

CLARKE JOAN Died on October 17th from a virulent strain of throat and brain cancer. She was born in 1933 and lived in Detroit until moving with her husband, Patrick to Grosse Pointe Farms in early 1969. Joan graduated from Michigan State College in 1955. She then worked as a lunchroom manager in the Detroit Public School system, until joining the Detroit Police Department in 1957. As a police woman, Joan was awarded a departmental citation and Police Woman of the Year in 1962 for undercover investigation of an illegal abortion ring. She entered the Detroit College of Law in 1963, graduating in 1967. Passing the bar exam that summer, she was hired by the Wayne County Prosecutor in 1968 as a trial prosecutor, remaining in this position until her retirement in 1996. Joan was one of the first female attorneys in this position. In retirement, she and Patrick enjoyed one another's company, and traveled extensively from Svalbard, Norway to Hawaii. She was an avid bridge player and bowler, as well as an alumna member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Discussing politics critically and studying Detroit's current issues gave her much pleasure. Predeceased by her twin sister, Jean, Joan is survived by her husband of 45 years; her younger sister, Ursula McMahon of Grosse Pointe Farms; numerous nephews and nieces as well as grand-nephews and grand-nieces. A remembrance gathering in celebration of Joan's life shall be held at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial Center's Ballroom on November 1, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. at 32 Lakeshore (Jefferson Ave.), Grosse Pointe Farms, MI. FITCHETT DORIS BERNITA died on October 26, 2012, at age 95. Born Doris White in Detroit, MI on August 29, 1917. Married to Lewis Thomas Fitchett on August 20, 1938. Together they raised three children: Nancy Busch (William), Linda Olsen (Roger), and Frank Fitchett (Marilyn). She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Lewis, and by her son, Frank. She is survived and loved by six grandchildren: Matthew Busch (Beth), Jeffrey Busch (Kathryn), Bradley Busch (Catharine), Steven Busch, Cara Bozyk (Paul), and Thomas Pool, and eleven beloved great-grandchildren: Ayla, Nolan, Scott, Allison, Nicole, Steven, Jason, Morgan, Noah, Julia, and Jessica. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law and dear friend Betty Dominoe, and many cherished nieces and nephews. Doris was devoted to her family and, with her husband, Lewis, made their family and many dear friends their highest priority. During her lifetime she also worked in several places, with most of her career spent as manager of the personnel office at J.L. Hudson Company in Northland Center. Following her retirement she continued to volunteer with the Hudson Retirees, was a member and volunteer at Dyer Retirement Center in Westland, and was an active member of the Wayne Memorial United Methodist Church, later attending Nardin Park United Methodist Church in Farmington Hills. IMMEL JEANNE MARIE June 30, 1960-September 28, 2012. Age 52, passed away peacefully after a courageous four year battle with cancer. Jeanne was raised in Warren, Michigan, graduated from Michigan State University, and eventually settled in Hooksett, N. Hampshire. She received her Master's Degree from Assumption College in Worcester, MA. Jeanne is survived by her three sisters, Susan (Jeffery) Noel of Gilbert, Arizona; Nancy (Michael) Lavoie of Merrimack, NH; and Margaret (Scott) Seegert of Farmington, MI; and was the loving aunt of Gregory (Courtney) and Garrett Noel; Ryan, Jaime and Kyle Lavoie; Brad, Shannon and Jason Seegert. She is predeceased by her parents, Willis and Marie Immel. Jeanne was a loving sister and aunt. She had a fulfilling and rewarding career as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for the State of New Hampshire. Jeanne volunteered for the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and was a softball coach at the high school and college level, most recently at Manchester's Central High School. Funeral Mass to be held on Saturday, November 3, at 10 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Farmington, Michigan. JALBERT-TOWAR JUDITH 73, passed away Friday October 19th in Phoenix AZ from complications from ALS. She was born to the late Kay and Raymond Jalbert in Providence RI. She graduated from Michigan State University and received a Masters from Wayne State. She was a teacher, artist and later a dedicated real estate agent. She loved the arts, historic preservation and was committed to helping others. She was active in many non-profit cultural and civic organizations including being the co-founder of the Historical League of the Arizona Historical Society. She was also active at All Saints Episcopal Church, and helped with the Assistance to the Lost Boys of Sudan program. Judy is survived by her daughter Stacy, brother Russell and ex-husband David. In lieu of flowers, Judy requested that donations be made to All Saints Episcopal Church's EFM scholarship fund or Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.

LICHTWARDT GENEVIEVE MERRY Age 91, passed peacefully at her home at Fox Run Village, Novi on October 21, 2012. Survived by her beloved husband Harry of 65 years, sons Ronald and Gregory and four grandchildren. Genne attended Cooley High School in Detroit, the first student to graduate with straight A's in all subjects. She got a full scholarship at an eastern college, majoring in economics. She went on to work for General Motors in Detroit doing economic research. After the birth of her sons she became the head librarian at their school, Vaughn School in Bloomfield Hills. She was active in the local garden club and maintaining their lovely home. When her boys left the area for college in 1972 she became the President of the Oakland County Medical Society Women's' Auxiliary. She was also the manager for Lichtwardt Urological Associates, PC at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. Services will be held privately. LUTZ JACK DAVID, SR., "Doc," 82, formerly of Walled Lake/ West Bloomfield, passed away peacefully at home with his family in Wixom on September 26, 2012, from complications of A.L.S. (Lou Gehrig's Disease). Doc was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 18, 1930, to Harvard and Margaret (Unis) Lutz. He had two siblings, Harvey "Tink" Lutz, and Nancie Anne Lutz Moran. Doc's passions were flying and fishing. Doc is survived by his wife, Virginia Ann (Cloutier) Lutz; his sister, Nancie (John) Moran; his children, Donna Lee (Ed), Jack (Sharmane), Debra (Patrick), Denise (Stephen), Diane, Curt (Kathleen), and Dawn (Michael) and the late Mary Alice; 20 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
