BOLEN MICHAEL JAMES age 75 of Yucaipa, California, formerly of Sterling Heights, Michigan, passed away October 7, 2013 in Redlands, California. He was born in Detroit, MI on April 10, 1938 to the late Melvin and Marcelline Bolen. Michael graduated from De LaSalle High School in 1956 and then enlisted in the US Marine Corp. He attended Michigan State University and graduated with a degree in Finance. Michael was then employed by General Motors, WWJ Radio and CBS Radio in Detroit. In 1971, he was promoted to National Sales Manager of the CBS Radio station, KNX in Hollywood, CA. After many years in advertising, he changed careers to another field he loved and was a Financial Planner until he retired in 2011. Michael is survived by his wife of 54 years Patsy Erz Bolen of Yucaipa, CA; son Todd Bolen of Huntington Beach, CA; daughter Toby Bolen Sudakoff (Todd); and granddaughters Madison and Macy Sudakoff all of San Clemente, CA. Brothers Dennis Bolen (Shirley) of Richmond, MI and James Bolen (Linda) of Macomb, MI, Also many beloved nieces and nephews and their children. Michael will be greatly missed by many friends and family in Michigan and California.
