PARKER JACK C. 87 of Clare, Michigan passed away Friday, February 17, 2012 at Tendercare of Clare. Mr. Parker was born September 22, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Frank and Alma Jane (Caudy) Parker. Mr. Parker served his country in the United States Army during World War II where he attained the rank of Sergeant and was awarded two bronze battle stars. Jack was united in marriage to the former Anna A. Kloster on November 19, 1976 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Mr. Parker retired as a tool and die maker with Ford Motor Company after many years. In his spare time, Mr. Parker enjoyed gardening and woodworking. Surviving Mr. Parker is his loving wife of thirty five years, Mrs. Anna A. Parker of Clare, one daughter, Debbie McKinney and husband Terry, one step-daughter, Kathleen Saha and husband Jim, two step-sons: Michael Killarney and wife Debbie and Kevin Killarney, one brother, Don Parker and wife Bev, one sister-in-law, Dori Parker, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, plus many nieces and nepehews. She is also survived by daughters, Joanne Parker English and "Amina" Susan Parker, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Larree was a life Master Bridge player and prominent teacher of Duplicate Bridge. She was cremated according to her wishes on May 10, 2010. Born in Waban, Massachusetts, he lived in Bronxville, New York, attended Culver Academy, graduated from Harvard College, and Harvard Business School. Parker served in the U.S. Army, 97th Division, in WWII. Parker is survived by his wife of 62 years, Eleanor Hayeslip Colby; his daughter, Margaret Colby Bittner, and her husband, Robert, of California; his son, Frank P. Colby, Jr., and his wife, Beverly, of MA; his daughter, Claire Colby-Hielscher, and her husband, Raimund, of Germany; and seven grandchildren. Parker's business career was in Detroit, MI as a merchandising manager at The J.L. Hudson Co. (now Target), and as a vice president in the trust department at The National Bank of Detroit (now J.P. Morgan Chase). Sailing was Parker's life-long passion, both on Lake St. Clair and on the New Hampshire seacoast.
