FELD GISELE M. Age 91 of Royal Oak, passed away January 14, 2012 at her home. She was born February, 27, 1920 in Quebec, Canada and came to Detroit with her family at the age of two. Mrs. Feld was musically gifted from a very young age, singing professionally in Detroit and Chicago for many years. She was also a church organist and choir director at area churches for much of her life, most notably St. Anne's in Detroit, Our Lady of Fatima in Oak Park, Guardian Angels in Clawson, and St. Dennis in Royal Oak. She also taught music in those schools and gave piano and singing lessons in her home. Additionally, she worked in the business sector for many years before and after raising her 13 children. Mrs. Feld was the recipient of "Mother of the Year" award as 'busiest mother in Oak Park' in 1956, presented by Confraternity of Oak Park, where she was a charter member (having 10 children and working as an organist and choir director of Our Lady of Fatima at the time.) She was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Feld, on June 21, 2006; her youngest daughter, Donna M. Feld, on November 2, 2006; brother Paul LeBel; and daughter-in-law, Pamela Feld. Mrs. Feld was loved and will be missed by her surviving children, George (Geraldine), Richard (Mary), Gregory (Sharon), Michael, Margaret (Willard) Looney, Celia, Leonard (Cathy), Kathryn (Robert) Saarela, Mark, Lawrence (Rena), Gerard (Ruth), and Marian; her 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter (who was born on Gisele's birthday in 2011 resulting in five generations of first-born daughters); countless step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; sister, Jeannine (Robert) Kaiser; and many loving nieces and nephews. WELCH DOUGLAS DEAN October 20, 1930-November 1, 2011. Died of heart complications. He joked with his loved ones until the day of his death. Raised in Omaha, he moved to Detroit in 1964, worked with Milllwright Union #1102 until his retirement. Survived by wife Jean, daughters Sharon Kay Gruhn, Kristina Marie Reimers, step-daughter Tina Frassetto, brother Donald Welch, and sister Janice Kroll. A Korean war veteran, Doug was a life member of VFW Post #9283 and American Legion Post #0389. BONDS RICHARD (DICK) JR. 80,of Mission Veijo, California passed away peacefully at home January 6th, 2012 from pancreatic cancer. Born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Richard Hamilton and Katherine Bonds, he is predeceased by two sisters, Barbara Spellman and Kathy St. Devine and a brother, John Collins Bonds. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Bonds, step-children Michele Acker and Eric Kaufman, five grandchildren and by two brothers Bill Bonds and Robert Bonds of Los Angeles. Also, 12 nieces and nephews. Dick was a career pilot in the Air Force, retiring as a Lt. Colonel. Dick will be remembered for his humor, passion for golf, cooking (especially pizza) and his love for his family and country. Booth Stephen formerly of Birmingham, MI died in his home in Sarasota, FL on December 29th. He is survived by his wife of thirteen years, Elizabeth; sons Douglas and wife Donna, Charles and wife Tracy, George and wife Kathryn; grandchildren Stephanie, Roque, Jess, and Louise; great granddaughter Hanna Lee; brother David and sisters Cynthia, Melinda, and Martha; and step-children Kris, Betty, and Fred. Steve served in the Army Air Corps in WW II. He worked at the Pontiac Press as a reporter before becoming a T.V. and commercial film producer. He also produced the children's feature film "Brighty of the Grand Canyon" in the mid '60's. Steve also served on the board of directors at Booth Newspapers, the Evening News Association (former Detroit News parent company), and the Cranbrook Educational Community Foundation. He published several books and numerous articles on Life-size and Miniature live steam railroads, sailing, and off-road motorcycling. Steve was also an active member with his wife Betty for many years at Cranbrook's St. Dunstan Theater Guild. Steve also spent twenty years living in Lafayette, CA with his second wife Suzanne. A memorial will be held at Christ Church Cranbrook in June at a time to be determined.
