ROWLAND ROBERT age 82, of Traverse City formerly of Clawson, Michigan, left us peacefully February 15th after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born October 11, 1930 in Clarksville, Tenn., To Ralph and Eunice Rowland. They moved to Berkley in the 40's. On January 28, 1950 he married Doris Moberly with whom he shared 62 years. Dad served in the army during the Korean War. He retired from Detroit Diesel as a millwright after 30years. Dad loved to fish on the Jordan River and spent countless hours at his cabin in Charlevoix County hunting and relaxing. He was every ones friend and the first one to volunteer to help. He was the care giver to mom for many years until his own health issues became too great. Dad is survived by his son James (Joan) Rowland, Janet (Ron) Patty, grandchildren Autumn and Makala Patty, Amanda Bain, Derek Mann, Jenelle Kroupa, great granddaughter Raina-Lynn Bain and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his sisters Etheleen Lock and Regina Wentworth, sister-in-law Eleanor Moberly, brother-in-law Allen (Jean) Moberly. He was preceded in death by his wife Doris Rowland and his sister Marvel Cornett. A memorial service to celebrate Dad's life will be held Sunday, March 10, 2 p.m. with visitation to be held 1 hour prior, at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Hazel Park. Cremation already took place. SCHROEDER JOHN age 88 passed away at home on February 17, 2013. John was born November 15, 1924 in Kernei, Yugoslavia. He was the beloved husband of Hedwig of 60 years. Loving father of John (Kathy), Bernie (Jan), Mary (Wick), Michael (Denise) and Steve (Lori). SETLOCK ANN MARIE 90, passed away February 18. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Stella Mazzola, Beatrice Maleske, Antonette Rokicsak, and her brothers, Andrew and Todd Setlock. She is survived by her sister, Katherine Stercho and her brother, Jack "Vern" Setlock. She was the aunt to many nieces and nephews. Ann Marie was an avid bowler. She is a member of the Professional Bowlers Association, Polish Hall of Fame, and Indiana Hall of Fame. WIACEK CHESTER MICHAEL February 15, 2013. Age 87. Born April 14, 1925 in Dearborn, Michigan. Predeceased by parents John and Mary Wiacek and sister, Delores (Gordon) Cook. Siblings Raymond (Winnie), Richard (Simone), Ronald, Patrick and Margaret (Rodney) Stevens. Chester is survived by two loving daughters, Deborah (Michael) Zamora and Kathleen (Nicholas) LaPuma; three grandchildren Christine Farris, Nicholas LaPuma Jr., and Jennifer Klenk, and one great-grandson, Jared Miller. Husband of Theresa, and the late Evelyn (Kobet) Wiacek. He attended Fordson High School, The University of Detroit, and was a star football player for both. He served as a Corporal in the Army Air Corps in World War II as a gunner. He later served as commander of American Legion Ford Motor Post 173 and Fordson Alumni member.
