For several years, she worked alongside her mother at the family's interior design firm, Village Designs, and became a Certified Picture Framer through Larson Juhl in Chicago, Illinois. Ann was also a voracious reader of history and religion. She graduated from Farmington High School where she won numerous awards in debate and music, and also attended Wayne State University.
