GLASGOW BUNN DOROTHY December 7, 1917 September 15, 2010. Born and raised in Detroit, Dorothy was a buyer for J.L. Hudson's which was a career she loved and where she met her first husband, Jim Glasgow who preceded her in death in 1971. She remarried Edward Bunn, who also preceded her in death, as well as her sister Marion Kovach. Dorothy loved Broadway musicals, playing bridge, the Rockettes, beautiful clothes and chocolate! She spent the last 20 years in Grand Rapids and a lifetime being a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and loyal friend. Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Bonnie (Jim) Scarlett, and Lesley Noble, of Watsonville, CA; grandchildren, Jim (Amanda) Scarlett, Mark, Ryan, and Kelli Scarlett, and Chandra (Matt) Ashford; two great-grandchildren, Lyla and Kain Ashford; and her brother, Donald (Marylou) MacKay, of Boston. According to Dorothy's wishes there will be no funeral service, but the family will have a small gathering at a later date. Because of the love and affection Dorothy had for her granddaughter Kelli Scarlett, the family is asking that any contributions be made to the Down Syndrome Association of West Michigan (www.dsawm.org).
