HOPKINS CHARLES MICHAEL of Clarkston; September 19, 2011; age 88. Preceded in death by his wife, Anne. Loving brother of Margaret Laine. Charles graduated in 1943 from Detroit Catholic Central and from University of Detroit in 1952, where he earned a degree in Business Administration. He served in the Army during WWII and was at the Battle of the Bulge. Charles worked for the IRS as a large Case Auditor from 1968, retiring August 3, 1984. He was also a member of the Founders and Patriots of America (Governor of Michigan), Sons of the American Revolutionary War (President, Treasurer, National Trustee, VP General of the Great Lakes District), Knights of Columbus 4th degree of council #0523 of Davison and 3rd degree of council #4090 of Davison, American Legion post #63 and White Lake Historical Society. He is a direct descendant of Harley Olmstead who was the first settler of White Lake in 1830. Davison Knights of Columbus Prayer Service 7 pm Thursday at the Lewis E. LONGO GINO FRANCESCO 50, of Detroit, Michigan, died Saturday, September 17th in his home. He was born March 17, 1961 in Detroit, Michigan and was the middle of three siblings. Gino's keen eye for detail and artistic sense were evidenced in his well-respected work as a mason. He enjoyed outdoor sports like bicycling and kayaking and was an avid collector of antique weaponry. He was a selfless man, known best for his profound love of dogs and animals. He is survived by beloved dogs Lena, Sadie, and Luke, brother Giovanni Longo, sister and brother-in-law Gina and Malcolm Jenner, mother and step-father Marilyn and James Schultz, father and step-mother Gino and Kathy Longo, and uncle Rudy Longo. Gino is also survived by cherished aunt and uncle Bill and Linda Bernardara, niece and nephew Sara and Phillip West, as well as numerous loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by dogs Farrah and Raz, grandparents Carmela and John Longo, and Dave and Valerie Richards. At his request, a funeral service will not be held.
