ORLOWSKI EDWARD "EDDIE" Of Redford Township passed away at the age of 94 on November 16, 2010 in Chelsea, MI. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Irene, and his beloved parents, John and Victoria Orlowski along with his siblings Josephine, Alfreda, Stanley, Sam, Ted and John. He is survived by his sister Helen and brother Raymond. Upon his retirement from ExCello where he was a tool hardener, Eddie was able to turn his love of gardening into a second career as the gardener at Western Golf Course for 27 years. Spirited and outspoken throughout her life, she worked outside the home (Lear, Hyatt Regency Dearborn) long before it was the norm while taking excellent care of her family who meant the world to her. In their later years Betty and LeRoy retired for a time in KY where they lead an active life gardening and improving their home before eventually returning to the Detroit area to be with family. Margaret was born May 21, 1937 to the late Mabel Ferguson White and Ernest William White Sr. She graduated Central High School in 1955 and Wayne State University in 1961. Margaret was a member of the Co-Ette Club and Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority and she performed with Ziggy Johnson's Dance Troup. A special education teacher at Chaney and McFarland Elementary for 37 years, Margaret retired in 1999 and her passions shifted to travel and volunteerism. Margaret travelled the world and her love of music led her to volunteer with Detroit's Montreux Jazz Festival and her love of arts and crafts directed her to the Parade Company. She was an original member of the Motor Cities Red Hatter Society. Margaret Hill's last request was to assure her body went to Wayne State University for research. A celebration of her life will be held 3 p.m., December 4, 2010 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church on the campus of Wayne State University, 5105 Anthony Wayne Drive, Detroit, Michigan.
