WAGNER CHARLES EDWARD went suddenly to meet his God on March 1, 2013, at the age of 83. He was born January 6, 1930, to Oscar and Frances (nee Schultz) Wagner and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from McKenzie High School, then attended the University of Michigan, graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1953. He enlisted in the army and was assigned to work at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland. In 1955, he was hired by Chrysler Corporation and worked there for 32 years until he retired. Mr. Wagner worked with the drive train research group, particularly proud of his work developing an experimental turbine engine for passenger vehicles. He has enjoyed 25 years of retirement with his wife Kathleen, including living in southern Florida, until moving to Montague in 2002. Kathleen and Chuck recently celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary. Chuck is a member of Lebanon Lutheran Church of Whitehall. He was a member of the choir and the Property Committee. Mr. Wagner was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Karen Dodds. FAMILY: He is survived by his wife Kathleen (nee Bloxsom) Wagner; his children, Lynn (Gary) Neighbors and Kurt (Marianna) Wagner; his grandchildren Jennifer (Scott) Barnes, Caroline Neighbors, Erik Wagner, David Wagner, and Stephanie Wagner; siblings, Robert (Doris) Wagner, Marlene Holmes, Kathleen Wagner and Donna (Russell) Poulson. SERVICE: Thursday, March 7, 2013, at 3:00 p.m., at Lebanon Lutheran Church, 1101 S. Mears Avenue, Whitehall, with the Rev. Douglas M. Ogden officiating. WRAY PAMELA J. Of Canton, age 53, died March 7, 2013, after courageously battling cancer. She was preceded in death by her father, Lyle Wray. BARKAI LIVIA JOSEPHINE "LEE" (NEE FANCHINI) age 97, formerly of Detroit and Taylor, Michigan, and Piney Fork, Ohio. Passed away on February 28, 2013, at her son's home in Honolulu. Lee was married to her husband John for over 60 years. She is survived by son John Lee (Linda); twin granddaughters Hope and Leah; many nieces, nephews; and a goddaughter. Lee was preceded in death by her husband John; her sisters Edith Ciotti and Celia Butler; and brothers Etzio "Ikey" Fanchini and Emilio "Zip" Fanchini. Lee was hard working, easy going, a good listener, friendly, and well-liked by all. She enriched many lives and will be dearly missed. Services will be held Saturday, March 9th at 11:30 a.m. at the St. Paul United Church of Christ, Taylor, Michigan; where she was a long-time member.
