HARBRECHT, WANDA A. Age 83 of Northville, Michigan passed away January 25, 2014. She was born September 2, 1930 in Detroit, MI a daughter of Raleigh and Lillian (Parmley) Ferris. Wanda was a member of Our Lady of Victory of Northville. Surviving are her sons: Chris (Keri) and Paul; grandchildren: Drew, Hailey, and Drake; and nephew, Steve Perry. HILDEBRANDT, WILLIAM J. Age 84, passed away January 21, 2014. He was born on September 2, 1929, in Detroit, son of the late John and Anna Hildebrandt. Bill was known for his great sense of humor, his love and concern for his wife and children, and for always being a devoted husband, father and Papa. He enjoyed woodworking, was a very gifted handyman and could fix almost anything. He was an avid fan of U of M football and the Detroit Tigers were often on the radio when Bill was in the garage working on a project. Bill was a member of the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus at St. Joseph Parish in South Lyon where he was also an usher. He could often be found volunteering and donating his time to anyone in need. Bill was a proud Army veteran, serving in the Korean War. He led an active life and was always busy doing something or helping someone, but the most important part of his life was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Sylva; his loving daughters, Karen (Gary) Skop, Carol (Sten) Sahlberg, and Sharon (Brian) Tonnies. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Lauren, Ryan, Kara, Kristen, Chase, and Carter. A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, January 25, at 11:00 a.m. with the family receiving friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. at PHILLIPS FUNERAL HOME, 122 W. Lake St., South Lyon. HOEFT, ANTHONY "ROY" PINCKNEY, MICHIGAN His Legacy... Anthony "Roy" Hoeft, age 92, died January 28, 2014 peacefully with family at his bedside and went to his heavenly home. He was born on June 23, 1921 to Arthur and Matilda (Krueger) Hoeft. Roy married the love of his life, Bernice (Kreibich) Hoeft in 1945; she preceded him in death after 58 years of marriage. His son, Thomas Anthony Hoeft, also preceded him in death. Roy was a World War II veteran, who honorably served in Africa and Italy in the 15th Division of the U.S. Army Air Corp. During his life he owned and operated Hoeft Construction, as well as Dexter A & W Root Beer Stand and was a Licensed Realtor. Roy was a proud member of the Pinckney American Legion for over 50 years, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Mary Church Men's Club. His Family... Roy is survived by his children Pamela Hoeft of Alexandria, VA; Barbara Bell of Dexter, MI; Patricia (Thomas) Preston of Grand Rapids, MI; Mary Margaret Hoeft of Pinckney, MI; Roberta (Todd) Berger of Pinckney, MI; Robert Hoeft of Orlando, FL; Daughter-In-Law, Laura Kleiss-Hoeft of Englewood, FL; nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and nephew, James (Pat) Fairbrother. THOMAS J.  HORISZNY

HORISZNY THOMAS J. "TOM" of Mundy Township, formerly of Saginaw died Monday, January 27, 2014 at his residence. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Tom was born at the Great Lakes Naval Base in Waukegan, Illinois to John and Carolyn (Trimm) Horiszny. He resided in Lansing until the age of 11 and graduated from Birmingham Seaholm High School in 1970. Tom graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Michigan with a bachelor's degree in History in 1974 and earned his Juris Doctorate in 1977. Tom spent his legal career working at the Saginaw County Courthouse, first as a law clerk to judges Eugene Snow Huff and Robert S. Gilbert and then as a respected appellate attorney in the Saginaw County Prosecutor's Office for 22 years. He was a member of the Michigan State Bar and the Saginaw County Bar Association. He was a member of the Birmingham First United Methodist Church until 1992. Tom enjoyed reading the Bible, walking, golf, U of M football and the Detroit Tigers. Tom is survived by his loving wife, Sharron whom he married on November 12, 1992. Also surviving are his beloved stepsons: Allen H. Miller of Saginaw, and Spc. Daniel E. (Laura) Miller of Louisiana. three granddaughters whom he adored: Hannah, Gracelyn and Audrey Miller all of Saginaw. Father, John Horiszny of Birmingham, MI.; sister, Deborah (Charles) Nicholas of Plymouth, MI.; niece, Jeanine (Matthew) Ringer; nephew, Douglas Nicholas all of Los Angeles, CA. Tom also leaves a very special pet, his beloved cat, Princess. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn in 1981.
