McHUGH JOHN "GEORGE" Age 84, of Warren, MI passed away on August 15 in his home surrounded by family. George was born on June 24, 1928 in Scranton, PA. He served in the Marine Corps after high school and graduated from the University of Scranton. George moved to Michigan, where he worked at Chrysler for 30 years and found his beloved wife of 55 years, Loretta (Osterland). He was the loving dad of six children: Kevin (Laura) McHugh of GA, Sharon (Michael) Beaulieu of NH, Cathy (Rick) Treiber of IL, Brian (Inger) McHugh of NJ, Megan Deane of MI and Robin (Rob) Janke of Washington, D.C. He was the dearest grandfather of twelve: Michael, Daniel, Tony, Renee, Emily, A.J., Johan, Lukas, Gavin, Nathan, George and Otto. George is survived by two sisters (Betty Antalics and Janet Bartley), two brothers (Rev. Richard, S.J. and Thomas [Joan]), and his sister-in-law Jean (widow of his brother Ned). George saw the best in life and had a wonderful gift of engaging others with his stories, laughter and conversation. MEJEUR JERRY 93, of Tarpon Springs, Florida passed away on August 10, 2012. Mr. Mejeur was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on August 7, 1919 and was the youngest of five children. Mr. Mejeur is survived by his daughter, Gail, and nieces and nephews Larry Mejeur (Anne), Ann Wiers Beresky (John), Beth Wiers Bont (Dick), and Paul Bulten (Mary). He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Mary. Mr. Mejeur lived at the Woods in Tarpon Springs where he enjoyed weekly bridge games and other social events. His optimism and sense of humor delighted both his friends and family. Mr. Mejeur served in the Army Air Corp during WWII and flew over 30 missions in Northern Europe. He was proud of his service and achieved the rank of Sergeant. He also enjoyed a successful career in sales and retired after more than 20 years with W.W. Grainger. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Palms in Palm Harbor, FL. A celebration of the life of Jerry Mejeur will be held in September.
