Age 70. Aug. 19, 2001 at his Residence of 25 yrs. in Gautier, MS. Jerry was born May 29, 1931 in Hamtramck and attended St. Florian Elementary School and Hamtramck High School. He earned an Engineering degree from Detroit College of Applied Science. He worked for Chrysler in Detroit, Ingalls in Pascagoula, Century 21 in Gautier and recently as a curator for the Old Spanish Fort Museum in Pascagoula. He was a veteran in the US ARMY in Korea War. 58, of Harbor Springs, Michigan, died in her home in Birchwood, on September 18, 2001, after a relatively brief illness of Pancreatic Cancer. A memorial service for Barbara will be held on Monday, September 24, 2001 at 11:00 a.m., at the First Presbyterian Church of Harbor Springs. Interment will take place at the columbarium at the First Presbyterian Church. Barbara was born in Mineola, New York, on October 4, 1942 the daughter of Charles and Gertrude (Fischer) Klein and moved shortly thereafter to Chicago, where she grew up. Barbara graduated from Michigan State University in 1964. She then moved to the Detroit area where she was a teacher in the Birmingham School District. Everyone who new Barbara can attest to her warm and caring nature. She was the type of person who never had a critical word to say about anyone. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She cared deeply for her family and loved spending quality time with her grandchildren. Barbara was a gourmet cook who loved to share her gift with family and friends. For the past five years Barbara and her husband John had lived in Birchwood, in Harbor Springs. Before that time the family made their home in Bloomfield and Troy. During the winter months the family made their home in Bonita Springs, Florida. Barbara is survived and will be deeply missed by her husband John and by their children, daughter, Jennifer Gurzell, son, Kurt Borseth, her mother and father, Gertrude and Charles Klein, by her sister, Janice Keessen as well as her four grandchildren, Kyle and Brett Gurzell and Alexandra and Andrea Borseth.
