KOBE GABRIELLA JOYCE 81. Film and television actress and producer Gail Kobe died August 1, 2013 in her residence at the Motion Picture Television Fund Home, Woodland Hills, California. She was born March 19, 1932 in Hamtramck, MI where she was raised. She has been preceded in death by parents, Benjamin and Theresa (Kieliszewski) Kobe, her sister Beatrice (Kobe) Adamski, and brother-in-law Walter Adamski of Hamtramck and Marysville. She is survived by close cousins Dale and Judy Anderson (Ohio), Michael Anderson and family (OH), Diane Anderson Smith and family (Kentucky), Connie Orson (Arizona), Gregory Orson (CA), Carl Orson and Family (AZ), Linda Orson Abdelaziz and Family (CA) and many other close friends and family. Gail graduated from UCLA earning a fine arts degree in theatre and dance. Her first major film was Cecil B. DeMille's epic The Ten Commandments in 1956. She went on to appear in dozens of TV shows throughout her career, earning an Emmy nomination for her portrayal of Dr. Anne Warner on the 1960s TV series Dr. Kildare. Her other TV credits include soaps Peyton Place and Bright Promise and many others. She moved into producing daytime dramas during the 1970s and 80s with credits including Days of Our Lives, Texas, Another World, The Bold And The Beautiful, and Guiding Light, for which she was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award. She was a member of St. Louis church and volunteered many hours to Eisenhower Medical Center and the Palm Springs Art Museum while she lived in Palm Springs. For the past two years, she resided at the Motion Picture Television Fund Home, where she was very active at Channel 22, organizing the show We've Got Mail, among other Fund activities. MALHOIT DOLORES L. August 10, 2013. Age 81. Daughter of the late Joseph Malhoit and Irene Troy. Dolores graduated from St. Agnes High School in Detroit in 1949. She was retired from the Detroit Police Department. Dolores was a long time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Detroit. In earlier years she was active in many organ clubs, the Red hat Society, the Windsor-Detroit Jazz Club, and was an usher at the Fisher Theater and the Masonic Temple. She traveled the world with her dear friend, June Brent. Dolores, along with her siblings authored the book Business On a Cash Basis, a memoir. Dolores was preceded in death by her sister, Lucille Morton, and brothers Joseph and James Malhoit. She is survived by sister-in-law, Daryl Malhoit and Diana Malhoit. She was the loving "Aunt Dodee", of Susan Walton, John Morton, Lucy Morton, James Morton, David Morton, Joseph Malhoit, Todd Malhoit, Teresa Markoski, Carolyn Kostegian, Paul Malhoit, and Nancy Roma. She had many grand-nieces and grand-nephews, cousins and extended family members and dear friends who mourn her passing.
