KORTAS LEO JR. Age 81, a resident of St. Clair Shores, formerly of Shelby Towhship, died Feb 16 in Port Huron. He is survived by his beloved wife, Wilma, who he married in 1984, and his children with Lorna (Turner), deceased, John (Evelyn), Diane Gordon, Karen Kortas, Charles (Joy), Linda Abrahamson, Michael, Barbara Berlinger, Sharon (Jeff) Stricker, Paul, Audrey (Mark) Lodewyk, Jeffrey, and Christopher. He is also survived by the children of Wilma; Michael (Ann) Trombley, Sharon Champa, Mark (Marci), Matthew (Debbie), Sheryl (Randy) Barfoot, Shelley (Anthony) Pylar and many grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as his siblings, Rose Fox, Dolores (Edwald) Hauer, Marcella (Byron) Goodwin and Christopher Kortas. He was predeceased by his first wife, Lorna Turner, who died in 1981, his parents and sister, Rita (Dick) Draganski. He was a retired refrigeration engineer and boiler operator at the Detroit Tank Arsenal and General Motors. Leo was an avid hunter and fisherman whose children and family always came first.
