YAGER MARY LINDA of Fraser passed on to Our Heavenly Father on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at the Village of East Harbor in Chesterfield, Michigan. "Linda" was born on December 27, 1924 in Hickory, Kentucky. Her childhood was spent on a farm there with her brothers and sisters. She proudly served in the Canadian Army Women's Corps during World War II. On June 26, 1945, she married the love of her life, Casper (Cap) Michael Yager, Jr. who preceded her in death in 1993. She and her beloved husband raised their family in Detroit and East Detroit. They established and owned Acme Asphalt Paving and Acme Rental Service in Fraser where they ran the family business for over 30 years. She was a long-time resident of Fraser and served as President of the Mulvey Gardens Condominium Association where she resided for many years. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, their friends and at her home on the St. Clair River. Her three loving children, Robert Yager of Panama City Beach, FL, Karen Galvin (Tim) of St. Clair, MI and Jan Yager (Rick) of Philadelphia, PA, all survive her. Her five grandchildren, Brent, Timmy Jr., Todd, Sean, Julia, their spouses and four great grandchildren, Casper, Dawson, Gwen and Nicholas, also survive her. Linda was preceded in death by her sister Betty Sue and brother Charlie B. Surviving her are her sister Charlene and brother Arlie Jr. We, the family, would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to everyone on the staff of Haven Hall at the Village of East Harbor for taking such great care of our dearly loved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mother-in-law and friend for the past four years.
