Mr. Hall was a letter carrier, retiring in 1977 and served in the Navy during WWII. He was a member and past master of Troy Highland Lodge 468 F and AM. Surviving are his daughter, Darlene Hall of Royal Oak; granddaughters Amanda (Andre) Guanco and Rebecca Kinney; great-grandson, Archer; and sister Virginia Rolle of Novato, California. His wife Dorothy, whom he married November 1, 1947 in Highland Park, died in 1986 and he was predeceased by siblings James, Douglas, David, and Cornelia. 1982 Birmingham Groves High graduate who rose to the faculty of the Harvard Medical School, died Thursday in a vehicular accident in Boston. Jamie was an internist at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and an assistant professor at Harvard. Jamie, his wife, Dr. Gail Levine, and children Nathan, Daniel and Lisa, lived in an old, rambling house in the Jamaica Plain section of Boston. Jamie had a high-pitched giggle, a boyish face, a sweet manner and an endless supply of affection for everyone he knew. He is also survived by his brothers Jay and Doug, and his parents, Susan and Arnold Winshall of Bloomfield Hills. His funeral is today in Boston.
