CHUBB WILLIAM J. Age 91, a proud WWII veteran, of St. Petersburg, FL, died May 10, 2012. He was born in England and grew up in Detroit, MI. He retired from the Detroit Police Dept. in 1971 and after retirement worked as personal security for Henry Ford. He was a member of the Shriners, Masons, Eagles, American Legion, Elks and Kentucky Cols. He was the beloved husband of the late Betty (d.2000) and Patricia (d.2012); loving Father of Carolyn (James) Sturdy and Betsy (James) Campbell; dear brother of Thomas; cherished grandfather of Michele (John) Labadie, Rob (Annette) and Heather; great-grandfather of Jacqueline, Elizabeth, Felicity, Luciana, Jessica, Allison, Justin and Timothy . In addition to his wives, William is preceded in death by his daughter Charlene and his brother Roy. A memorial service is being planned for a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home, Farmington, MI (248-474-5200). Memorials suggested to Our Lady of Sorrows Church 23815 Power Road, Farmington.

Betsy and Carolyn, I saw the notice in the paper. Sorry for your loss. I remember playing in the neighborhood and at your house on Prevost. Your dad always called me apple cheeks. So many years ago.
