BARTON JAMES Was called to the Lord on May 13 at age 89. He is survived by, and will be greatly missed by, his beloved wife of 67 years, Helen Violet, and their five children, Gail (David) Gasser, Charlotte, Brian (K.C.), Jacqueline, and Holly (Joseph) Bohart. Also surviving are grandchildren Valerie (Tom) Foley and Nathan (Mary Elizabeth) Gasser, and great-grandchildren Thomas, Eliana, Calina, Allison, and Gavin. He was preceded in death by brother Daniel and sister Katherine. He leaves behind many cousins, nieces, and nephews and a loving church family. A veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, James enjoyed being active and loved talking with people. Visitation from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home in Livonia. Funeral services at the Apostolic Christian Church in Livonia at 10 a.m. Thursday, with visitation at the church at 9:30 a.m. Burial at Glen Eden Memorial Park, Livonia.
