AMALFITANO GLORIA S. (NEE MALATESTA) May 14, 2012, age 84, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at her home in Lathrup Village. Beloved wife of Louis F. for 58 years. Dear mother of Diane M. Amalfitano, Michael L. (Dianne), David J. (Char) and Don A. (Sallie). Grandmother of Joseph (Kathy), Celeste, Diana, Katharine, Christopher, Caroline, Corinne, Rachel, Christina, Chelsea, Alison, Katelyn, Madison, Michael and Anthony. Great-grandmother of Matthew. Daughter of the late John and Erma Malatesta. Sister of Joanne Davidoff. Aunt of Cynthia and Michael. Also survived by her loving caregivers, Barbara, Jayson, Mary and Vana. Family will receive friends at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward (btwn 13-14 Mile) Sunday 2-7:00 p.m. with Rosary 5:00 p.m. Celebration of Life Mass Monday 10:00 a.m. at National Shrine of the Little Flower, (Woodward Ave at Twelve Mile Rd.).
