SHAFFER WILLIAM B. Age 87. September 29, 2012, formerly of Southgate. Retired as First Chief of Police for the Southgate Police Department. Beloved husband of Mary. Loving father of William (Diann) and Terry (Colleen). Also survived by seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mr. Shaffer was a Marine Corp Veteran and WWII Iwo Jima Survivor. All of the residents of Ravencrest Condos will miss Bill's smile and quick wit. What a wonderful man, and served our community, with honor and integrity. He will be sorely missed. Prayers and support go out to his family.
