LOPEZ JOE "JOSE" FRANCIS Detroit, Michigan, passed away on October 5, 2012 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by his loving first wife, Julia. He is survived by his loving second wife, Hortensia; brother, Raymond; sister, Mary; daughters, Ann and Gloria; and son, Thomas. He was blessed with seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. As a devout Catholic, he had a great admiration for Our Lady of Guadalupe. His employment with Ford Motor Company fueled his support of unions, and his heritage lead him to become a strong advocate for the Latino community. Viewing is Thursday, October 11, 2012, 2 - 8 pm at RISKO-FERGUSON Funeral Home, 7100 Michigan Ave, Detroit. Services Friday 10 a.m. Most Holy Trinity Church, 1050 Porter St., Detroit.
