Gariepy, loving mother of Delores, Diane (the late Michael) Burch, Frank (Kathy), Jim (Eileen), Carol (Hossein) Sadate-Akhavi, Joan (Don) Bertucci and Karen (Keven) Smith; cherished grandmother of Megan and Hannah Burch, Brian, Michael (Sharayah), Andrew and Christopher Gariepy, Gail, Gregory and Paige Gariepy, Christian and Cara Bertucci, Nicholas, Brendan and Austin Smith; dear sister of the late Delores (Tom) Hendren and Thom (Mary) Hamilton; dear sister-in-law of Jeanne Julien. Also fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass 10 am (in-state 9:30 am) Friday, October 19, 2012 at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church, Orchard Lake. I just wanted to express my DEEPEST empathy for you (Joan), the kids, don and all of your family! You are all in my thoughts and prayers today. I remember one of my first conversations with your mom and she was telling me about coming to texas to visit your brother and how she loved to visit Montrose because of all the nice people and neat shops :). I LOVED IT! She was correctly named JEWEL, she was very much a treasure and I can say that I am truly greatful that I got to spend some time with her when I was up there. She was a terrific lady with a WONDERFUL heart and the most contagious smile! I love you all!
