MICHEL RAYMOND A. Age 92, was lifted to Heaven on October 20, 2012. Beloved husband of Cecilia, married for 65 wonderful years. Raymond was a treasured father of Philip (Zirka Kalynych), and Mark (Anne Michele). Cherished grandfather of Larissa Michel and Veronica Michel. Survived by nieces. Raymond served in the United States Navy on a battleship in the S. Pacific during World War II. He was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast, finding joy in restoring them. Funeral Visitation will be Tuesday 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary at the Sterling Heights Chapel of the E.J. Mandziuk & Son Funeral Directors, Inc. 3801 18 Mile Road (NW corner of Ryan). Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Rene Goupil Catholic Church, 35955 Ryan Rd., Sterling Heights, MI 48310 at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Raymond will be in state at 9 a.m. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery. We really cared for Ray. He was always so happy and friendly and truley loved Cel. His affection for his sons and their wives was so evident. And boy would he light up talking about his granddaughters!! And motocycles . . .We will really miss Ray. Our condolences to all the family.
