IRESON ROBERT C. SR. Age 83 of Grosse Pointe Woods; October 25, 2012. Beloved husband of Linda Wittenberg Ireson. Loving and devoted father of Robert C. Ireson II. Loving son of the late J. Ireson and the late Ernest D. Ireson Sr. Brother of the late D. Ireson, the late Paul Ireson, the late Julian Ireson, the late Jack Ireson and Lavern and Gerald Ireson. Served in Korean War 1901 Engineer Aviation Battalion from 1951-1952. Loved boating, swimming, and classical and big band music. Avid trumpet player. Loved swimming laps and racing with his wife Linda at the Woods pool everyday. Visitation Monday 1-9pm and Funeral Tuesday 10:00am at Chas. Verheyden Funeral Home, Inc., 16300 Mack Ave., Grosse Pointe Park. Interment and military honors to follow at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy. Light a candle and share a memory at: www.verheyden.org
