KEATON WILLIAM A., October 29, 2012, age 84. Loving father of Pamela (Christopher), Karen (Jeffrey), and Darlene, and stepfather of Stephen. Survived by granddaughters Amanda, Ashleah, and Lisa, grandson Wayne, and eight great grandchildren. Devoted husband of the late Dorothy and the late Johan. Preceded in death by step daughter Christy and grandson David. Retired from Engineering Standards at General Motors. Co-founded Alcoholics for Christ in 1977 in order to enhance traditional sobriety methods with an emphasis on Christianity. William was a dedicated man of God and an extraordinary person who helped, encouraged, and touched countless people during his lifetime. William was greatly loved and well respected and will be dearly missed. Funeral Service Saturday 4 p.m. at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Road (between Maple and Big Beaver). Family will receive friends Friday 2-8 p.m., and Saturday 11 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers the family asks memorial donations be made to Alcoholics for Christ, 1316 N.
