SMITH JAMES "GRANT", November 4, 2012, Age 79 of Gladwin, formerly of Troy. Long time attorney for Plunkett-Cooney. Beloved husband of Patricia A. (nee Fitzgibbons) for 55 years. Dear father of Ann Marie Pekarek (John), Michael J. (Lesley), Susan E. Tong (Simon), Brian J. (Elizabeth), Maureen E. Kassens (Robert) and J. Grant, Jr. (Heather). Grandfather of Robert, Thomas, Stephen, Kristina, Alan, Dylan, Taylor, Huston and Miley. Brother of Bernard (Roberta) and Sara Westbury (Robert). Brother-in-law of Margaret Schultz and Kathleen Schulz. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Wednesday 3-8 p.m. at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Road (between Maple and Big Beaver) with Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass Thursday 9:30 a.m. at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, 4571 John R, Troy.
