gone, but not forgotten
Last & this year was the 1st time that I saw & spoke to 'Butchie', his Mom & Joanne. I havn't seen them since before 1972 in Detroit. We were next door neighbors. Mrs. 'C' was so exited, once she knew who we were. Then 'Butchie' & Joanne showed up. My sister posted some pictures at that time. We enjoyed a 'Tigers' game in Sept. Everyone took photos. We were street ball players, field football players, garage net basket ball dribblers, hide & go seek revelers. 'Butchie' was a good story teller growing up. But we only believed him half of the time. He had a 'James Dean' Mercury before the Navy took him. To bad. All the 'Brace St.' kids knew, & remember 'Butchie', not Chuck, Charlie, or Charles. Now he's with Elvis, drivin' that black primed 'Mercury' in the sky, singin' 'That all right Mama'.
