KAESTNER MARILYN M. Age 79, longtime resident of Northville, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2012. Beloved wife of Kenneth. Cherished mother of Susan Walsh, Jane (Dan Crowley) Funfgeld, Julie Tuck, and Robert (Tari) Holterman. Adored grandmother of Kenneth, Dylan, Anneliese, Lindsey, Gracie, Kaylyn, Leigh Ann, Nicholas, and Kaity. Dear sister of Virginia Nelson. Visitation Thursday 1 - 8 p.m. Funeral Service Friday 1 p.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W. Dunlap, Northville. Dear Ken and Family, Although you'd mentioned that Marilyn was ill, I was saddened this morning to read of her passing. I'm sure you must feel very content with the love and care that you showered on her over the years - but especially during these last weeks when she needed you most. Mrs. Kaestner was my 3rd grade teacher at Amerman. I'm 34 now and still have great memories of her. A classmate posted on facebook of her passing and reminded us of the activity of raising butterflies and releasing them on top of Amerman Hill. My thoughts and prayers are with you -- but know that so many of her students remember her with love!
