BOWLES WILLIAM THOMPSON D.D.S. November 29, 2012 Age 84 of Ponce Inlet, FL, formerly of Grosse Pointe Woods. Proud veteran of the US Marines – Korean War. Longtime dentist in the Harper Woods/Grosse Pointe area. Beloved husband of the late Beverly Bowles (nee Geisler). Proud father of Rebecca McKinnon (James Bobbitt), Julie Janks (Brian) and the late Sara Rudcki (Bill). Also survived by step-daughters Susan Raitt (Chuck), Cathy Sands (Don) and Diane Fisher (Gary). Also 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Dear brother of Julie Fleetwood. Family will receive friends at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward (btwn 13-14 Mile) Wednesday, December 12th, 4-7p.m. Memorial tributes to Hospice charity of donor's choice. I'm a patient that lost contact after leaving Det 15 yrs ago, but will always remember Bill for his unflagging optimism. A wonderful guy from my side of the chair!

Dr. Bowles was the kindest & caring person & the best dentist I ever had. He took away most of my dental fears & I became a dental assistant for a couple years here in the Detroit area. My condolences to his family. He really was a great man!
